Bechem United are yet to receive their prize money after winning the 2015/16 MTN FA Cup

According to Mr Kofi Poku, the telecommunication giant is a corporate entity which goes about its operations systematically while insisting that the whole process of giving out the prize money is done systematically.

Explaining the state of the situation, the vice person highlighted the authenticity of the FA Cup organizational body citing Medeama SC as past beneficiaries who received their promised reward. Emphasising on credibility he stated that there has never been an instance where monies due deserving participants have not been given to them.

"Over the years no team can say they were not given the monies due them after winning the FA Cup. It is a process, we the GFA have raised invoice to MTN. It is not as if the monies are immediately handed to the teams after the competition. We are dealing with a corporate entity so allow me take this opportunity to make this statement, their money is intact and will be given to them.

He regretted the speculations making rounds pertaining to the FA Cup prize money saying that these negative assertions are detrimental to their operations agreeing that they go a long way to tarnish the image of the competition sponsors.

"I plead that these speculations be cut short since these things affect our relationship with the sponsors. I communicated with Agama yesterday and I am even sending him his MTN card today."

Bechem United made history by becoming the first Brong Ahafo-based side to clinch the 2015/16 MTN FA Cup trophy beating  Okwahu United 2:1 at the newly-built Cape Coast stadium.
