Adu Kofi, popularly known as "Agya Koo by" his stage name has stated that, his career as an actor was killed by producers for refusing to go naked on set for a movie.

He passed the statement while he was speaking at the launch of his TV application.

The old actor who has entertained many Ghanaians with his talent and passion for acting stated that, he has kept the incident that has crippled his career for a long time from the public but it was high time he made it public.

He said at the launch, “I have hidden this from the public for a very long time and I think that It is high time I make the public aware of this fact. Agya is not incapacitated neither is he weak but some producers sat and decided to bury my acting career”.

While speaking, he stated that the current actors in the Ghana movie industry have no comparison to him s he has set the standard high for other actors.

Adding on, Agya Koo said, “I was acting in a movie titled Okomfo Anokye where I was supposed to act naked but in the history which we were following, while Okomfo Anokye was taking his bath there were no cameras so I asked that we improvise on something to avoid me showing my nakedness because people of the community were behind me but the director refused so I had to leave the movie and since then, they have worked in killing my career”.
