ARTISTES all over the world have something that distinguishes them from others and stands out their brand. This can be in the clothes they wear, a signature line in their songs or even hairstyle.

For Afropop artiste, King Promise, his clean shaven look is his way of making his brand easily identifiable.

King Promise, who is enjoying a lot of time in the spotlight this year with his songs CCTV, Abena and has featured on some hit tracks like Sarkodie’s Can’t Let You Go told Showbiz at the Exclusive Men of the Year awards last Saturday that his bald head is deliberate.

“Yeah, this hair style is my brand, it is what makes me me so I will keep it plus my team are ok with me having this hair, it’s like, it has come to stay you know.”

He said he has no plans of growing his hair back. “For now no, maybe later but not now, I just want it to be like it is, I love it, people love it so that is it.”

King Promise also spoke about the attention his Abena song is getting saying he is humbled by the great feedback and said it is a motivation to do more.

“It means hard work, I have to do more. The fact that I have been accepted doesn’t man I need to go and sleep, no, it means I have something that people want and I should not let them down", added.

King Promise burst onto the scene last year with his hit song Oh Yeah. His track, Selfishand lending his vocals to songs like Double Trouble made him even more popular and he has even received shoutouts from British-born NIgerian producer, Maleek Berry, who has worked with Wizkid among others. He acknowledges that such endorsements are morale boosters for him.

Managed by award winning sound engineer, Kill Beatz, the graduate of the Central University College, is looking forward to churning out more good songs.
