Najeeb Fuseini emerged as the hero for Karela United with a late goal to secure a 1-0 win over Dreams FC in a tightly contested Ghana Premier League match at the Tuba AstroTurf in Accra.

Capitalizing on a defensive lapse, Fuseini maintained his composure to slot the ball past the Dreams FC goalkeeper, scoring his second league goal of the season and sparking jubilant celebrations among Karela's traveling fans.

Despite their best efforts, Dreams FC could not find an equalizer before the final whistle, leaving them with an uphill task in their fight to climb the league table.

They controlled 55% of possession but failed to convert their dominance into goals, while Karela, with 45% possession, made their decisive moment count.

The victory marks a second consecutive away triumph for Jimmy Cobblah's side, lifting Karela United to 13th place with 12 points.

In contrast, Dreams FC now sit 15th with 11 points after the defeat.

Next up, Dreams FC will travel to face Nsoatreman FC on Friday, December 13, while Karela United will host Bibiani Gold Stars at the Aliu Mahama Stadium on the same day.
