Independent presidential candidate Nana Kwame Bediako, widely known as Cheddar, has called on Ghanaian youth to rethink how they use their time, particularly in relation to watching football, which he views as an unproductive activity.

Speaking during Ghana Television’s Presidential Encounters, Cheddar highlighted the economic disparity between football viewers and players, emphasizing the need for time management and prioritization.

“If you spend two hours watching football almost every two days, in a year, you would have spent 500 to 1,000 hours watching football,” he explained.

“Meanwhile, someone is getting paid $500,000 a week to play, but you watch them for free and spend your valuable hours on it. Your time is your most important asset, and you have to use it sensibly.”

As a first-time presidential contender, Cheddar has centered his campaign on disrupting the political dominance of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He is urging Ghanaians to embrace his vision for a progressive and innovative future, positioning himself as a viable alternative in the December 7, 2024, general election.

By encouraging young people to focus on personal growth and productivity, Cheddar seeks to foster a mindset shift that aligns with his broader goals of national transformation.
