The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has appealed to its supporters to leave the collation centres and return home, assuring them that the party’s leadership and technical team are fully equipped to oversee the remaining electoral processes.
This call was made in a statement on December 10, following rising tensions at the Accra regional collation centre over delays in declaring results for the Ablekuma North constituency.
The delay reportedly stems from a dispute involving the presiding officer and representatives of the NDC and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The NDC commended its members and agents for their dedication in monitoring the collation process and reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that the remaining steps are handled with transparency and diligence.
The party also urged its supporters to remain calm and united, highlighting that their collective efforts are pivotal in securing the victory they believe will benefit the nation.
