The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has left Accra for Japan on a working visit.

Mr. Asiedu Nketiah, who also serves as Board Chairman of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GHAPOHA), is leading a delegation from the Authority to participate in the Annual General Meeting of the International Association of Ports and Harbours (IAPH), scheduled to take place in Kobe, Japan.

The meeting brings together port authorities and maritime industry leaders from around the world to discuss innovations, sustainability, and best practices in port management and operations.

The GHAPOHA delegation is expected to use the opportunity to strengthen international partnerships and explore new avenues for collaboration to enhance Ghana’s port efficiency and competitiveness.

The team is expected to return to Ghana on October 12, 2025.

In Mr. Asiedu Nketiah’s absence, NDC Vice Chairman, Comrade Awudu Sofo Azorka, will serve as Acting National Chairman of the party.
