The Minority Leader in Parliament, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has assured Ghanaians that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is ready to hit the ground running when John Dramani Mahama is sworn in as President on January 7, 2025.
Speaking during a post-election press conference, Dr. Forson reiterated the NDC's commitment to fulfilling its manifesto promises swiftly and efficiently.
He emphasized that key initiatives in health, education, and economic recovery are set to commence immediately after the new administration assumes office.
“The NDC is not waiting for fanfare or prolonged planning phases,” he stated. “We will begin delivering on our promises from January 7 to address the pressing issues facing Ghanaians.”
One of the primary focus areas will be the economy. Dr. Forson highlighted the urgent need to stabilize the cedi, curb inflation, and implement policies that create sustainable jobs.
He assured that Mahama's administration has a clear roadmap to bring relief to struggling businesses and households.
On infrastructure, Dr. Forson pointed to ambitious plans to expand road networks, modernize sports facilities, and complete abandoned projects across the country.
He also revealed that the NDC government would prioritize energy security by enhancing renewable energy investments and resolving recurring power outages.
The Minority Leader expressed confidence in the NDC’s ability to deliver, citing Mahama’s track record in governance. “Ghanaians can trust us to implement policies that prioritize their well-being and bring about real progress,” he added.
As January 7 approaches, expectations among citizens are high. The NDC leadership has assured all Ghanaians that they are prepared to deliver tangible results, ushering in a new chapter of development and prosperity for the country.
