Billionaire politician and Nollywood actress Regina Daniels’ husband, Prince Ned Nwoko, has stirred public debate after openly defending polygamy, declaring that he feels “sorry for men who have only one wife.”

In a candid interview on Channels Television, the Delta North Senator argued that polygamy offers men greater balance and emotional stability, describing it as a “natural structure” that eases the pressures of marriage.

“Every man should embrace polygamy. Imagine standing on one leg—it’s hard. But when you stand on two, three, or four, you’re more balanced. That’s how it is with wives. I pity those who have one wife because it’s difficult to stand on one leg,” he stated.

When challenged that the Bible does not support polygamy, Nwoko countered by referencing the Old Testament, asserting that he remains a man of faith despite public criticism of his marital lifestyle.

Responding to whether he regrets having multiple wives, Nwoko was firm: “No, I have no regrets. I would do the same thing again. You should marry who you want to marry.”

He also dismissed rumours of domestic abuse in his marriage with Regina Daniels, saying: “Come on, you know I’m not a violent person. I respect my wives. I love them and my kids.”

His remarks follow mounting speculation of marital tension after Regina Daniels showcased a new mansion on social media, fueling rumours of a possible separation.
