Newly elected Ghana Football Association president Kurt E.S Okraku has expressed his heartfelt appreciation and thanks to the president of the republic H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and to all Ghanaians for their congratulatory messages.

In a statement the new GFA president said he was humbled and overwhelmed by the congratulatory message flooding his way.

"I am humbled and indeed overwhelmed by the outpouring of congratulatory messages on my election as the President of the Ghana Football Association by all Ghanaians across the world."

"First and foremost, it is with the greatest humility that I acknowledge the congratulatory message of the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo, the embodiment of the people of Ghana. I am extremely grateful for the confidence reposed in me and the support of the State for our industry".

"I thank all Ghanaians, especially the Sports Minister, Normalisation Committee, the gallant contestants and the entire football fraternity for supervising a successful elective process. I am also grateful for the goodwill messages from members of Parliament and the Judiciary, corporate Ghana and the media."
