Ghanaian left-back Hamidu Abdul Fatawu has signed for Algerian Ligue 1 newcomers MB Rouissat on a free transfer after leaving Egyptian Premier League side Ghazl El Mahalla.
The 26-year-old made 22 appearances for El Mahalla during the 2024/25 campaign, earning plaudits for his defensive solidity and attacking contributions. He joined the Egyptian outfit in July 2024 from Medeama SC, where he impressed during their CAF Champions League run.
Later that year, Abdul Fatawu earned his Ghana senior debut in a 3-1 win over Liberia, delivering a strong performance that strengthened his status as a dependable left-sided defender.
At Rouissat, the former Medeama star brings both top-flight and international experience to a squad aiming to make an impact in their debut season in Algeria’s top tier. His pace, positional awareness, and tireless work rate are expected to be key assets for the club.
