The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has responded to concerns over the Super Eagles’ accommodation in Rabat, following a viral social media post by midfielder Alex Iwobi that showed a dilapidated view from his hotel window.

The image sparked widespread speculation about the team’s welfare ahead of their CAF World Cup qualifying play-off against Gabon.

Few minutes after the rage on the internet after Alex Iwobi posted the video of the surroundings of the alleged hotel, the Fulham midfielder came back and made another video to clear the air and clarify things from his perspective as he reiterated his displeasure on the outraging misconception on his initial video.

NFF Clarifies: “It’s Just the View, Not the Hotel”

In a statement, the NFF clarified that the video only captured the external view and not the quality of the hotel itself, which they insist meets professional standards.

“The team’s accommodation is suitable for elite-level preparation,” the federation stated, reaffirming its commitment to player welfare.
