Ghanaian defender Nicholas Opoku made a strong debut for Kasimpasa on Monday night, helping his new team secure a 1-1 draw against Hatayspor in the Turkish Super Lig.

Opoku, who joined Kasimpasa on a free transfer earlier in the day, was immediately thrust into the starting lineup for the Week 2 clash of the 2024/25 season.

Playing the full 90 minutes as a right centre-back, the Black Stars defender delivered a solid performance that contributed to his team's resilient display.

Throughout the match, Opoku's defensive skills were on full display as he helped to contain Hatayspor's attacking threats.

Despite Hatayspor taking the lead with a goal from Joelson Fernandes, Kasimpasa fought back to equalize through a strike from Nuno Da Costa, securing a valuable point away from home.

Opoku's impressive debut is a promising sign as he aims to establish himself as a key player for Kasimpasa in the Turkish Super Lig this season.
