Popular Nollywood actress Biola Bayo has publicly announced her separation from her husband, Oluseyi, after three years of marriage. The announcement came via a heartfelt Instagram post on Tuesday afternoon, coinciding with her birthday.

Biola revealed that the couple has been separated since April 2024 due to irreconcilable differences. Expressing deep regret, she apologized to fans who may feel let down by the news.

“I’m sincerely sorry, I wished it worked but it’s better to stay alive to tell the story. Please keep us in your prayers,” she wrote.

The actress also opened up about the emotional toll the situation has taken on her:
“While I go about making other people happy in the day, my pillow is drenched with my own tears almost every night for the past 14 months, but I gain strength from Christ who loves me eternally and gave himself for me.”

Biola Bayo and Oluseyi tied the knot in April 2021. This marks the actress’s second publicly known marriage, following her previous union with a UK-based man named Ola, which ended in 2014.
