Regional Executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Eastern Region have suspended the Women’s Organiser, Fati Vondoli over acts of indiscipline against party hierarchy.
A letter sighted by Citi News and signed by the Regional Chairman, Kriston Akomeng Kissi, the Women’s Organiser’s was said to have demonstrated “gross insubordination” and disregard for directives by the steering committee.
The party leadership said her suspension was with immediate effect.
The beleaguered party leader has since been directed to submit all party properties in her possession to the Regional Chairman.
Although the party leadership did not give exact details about the conduct of Madam Vodonli, it said it has referred the matter to the Disciplinary Committee for further action.
Below is the full statement;
I write to officially suspend you from all activities of the party henceforth with immediate. This is due to your gross insubordination and disregard for the regional steering committee’s directives.
You are further requested to submit all party properties in your possession to the Regional Chairman with immediate effect.
This issue is further referred to the Regional Disciplinary Committee for ratification and or further action.

Barely a week ago the Sissala West Constituency indefinitely suspended seven of its members over alleged misconduct.
According to a letter sighted by Citi News, the suspensions are pending “the final outcome of the disciplinary processes commenced which have against them on grounds of misconduct as petitioned by concerned Party members.”
The affected members were George Hika-Benson, Mohammed Zackaria Bakar, Majeed Limann, Hudu Mua, Musah Wibireh, Bahua Abudu and Halidu Yahaya.
They are alleged to have campaigned against the NPP its parliamentary candidate for Sissala West, Naliwie Salifu, ahead of the 2020 polls.
Mr. Hika-Benson was a minister under the Kufour administration while Mr. Zakaria Bakor was sacked as the District Chief Executive for Sissala West on the 29th of September 2020.
