Mustapha Gbande, Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, has criticized the NPP’s claim that they "gifted" victory to the NDC in the recent election, calling it irrational and a denial of reality.
Speaking on a Kumasi radio station, Gbande condemned the NPP’s refusal to accept their defeat, labeling their explanations as "sickening" and "bizarre."
He dismissed claims that voter turnout in the Ashanti Region, the NPP’s stronghold, was low, stating it was over 55%, higher than in 2020.
Gbande emphasized that the NDC’s victory was due to their effective campaign and the people’s trust.
He also rejected the idea that the Ashanti Region should blindly support the NPP despite its failures, asserting that the region voted for change.
