Nsoatreman FC's General Manager, Eric Alagidede, has voiced his disappointment following the team’s recent elimination from the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Ghanaian club had high hopes after progressing past the first round by defeating Chadian side Elect Sport, but their journey was cut short in the second round against Algerian team CS Constantine.

Nsoatreman faced a tough challenge, suffering a 3-0 defeat on aggregate.

They lost 2-0 in the first leg at Accra Sports Stadium and followed up with a 1-0 loss in the second leg at Stade Mohamed-Hamlaoui.

In an interview, Alagidede acknowledged the difficulty of competing against North African teams, which often benefit from strong local support.

"We were punching above our weight. We are disappointed because playing against North African teams is always difficult due to their backing," he said in an interview with Asempa FM.

"We just have to stay focused and ensure we play in the group phase next time."

Alagidede remains optimistic about the future, expressing confidence that with solid competition and team cohesion, Nsoatreman can return to continental football and aim for a spot in the group stage.

"If we are able to compete well and keep this team, I am convinced we will return to Africa and play in the group stage," he added.

With the CAF Confederation Cup behind them, Nsoatreman FC is set to shift its focus to domestic competitions.

They will face Accra Lions in the Ghana Premier League this weekend at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium as they look to build momentum and achieve success on the local front.
