Ghana Premier League side Nsoatreman FC have strengthened their squad with the acquisition of attacking midfielder Richmond Opoku.
This signing is expected to significantly boost the team's performance both domestically and in continental competitions.
Although the terms of Opoku's contract with Nsoatreman FC have not been disclosed, the club announced the deal on social media, expressing enthusiasm about his potential impact.
"We have secured a contract with Richmond Opoku, an attacking midfielder whose skills and energy will enhance our squad," the club stated.
Opoku will join the team's pre-season preparations under new coach Yaw Preko as Nsoatreman FC gears up for the 2024/25 season.
His arrival is particularly timely as the club prepares for their debut in the CAF Confederation Cup.
As the reigning FA Cup champions, Nsoatreman FC will represent Ghana in the continental competition, with their first-round fixtures set against Elect Sport of Chad.
Preliminary round matches are scheduled to begin in August.
The club is keen to make a strong impression in their inaugural African campaign and hopes to leverage Opoku's talents to achieve success on both local and international stages.
