18th August 2024
Nsoatreman FC marked their inaugural appearance in the CAF Confederation Cup with an emphatic 3-0 victory against Chadian side Elect Sports.
The Ghanaian FA Cup champions delivered a stellar performance at the Accra Sports Stadium, securing all three goals during a dominant first-half display.
Mohammed Abdul Rahman emerged as the star of the match, scoring two goals in quick succession.
His first strike came in the 30th minute, followed by another clinical finish just six minutes later.
Sandwiched between Rahman's goals was a well-placed shot by Kwabena Meider in the 34th minute, which effectively put the game out of reach for Elect Sports.
This resounding victory not only highlights Nsoatreman FC's determination but also gives them a significant boost as they prepare for the second leg.
With a commanding three-goal lead, the team will head to the Ahmadou Ahidjoe Stadium in Yaoundé, Cameroon, for the return fixture on August 24, 2024, with high hopes of progressing further in the competition.
The triumph in their maiden CAF Confederation Cup match has energized both the team and their supporters, setting a positive tone for what promises to be an exciting campaign ahead.
