Nsoatreman FC emerged victorious in the 2023/24 MTN FA Cup final, overcoming Bofoakwa Tano in a thrilling match held at the University of Ghana Stadium on Sunday.
Both Premier League teams reached the final by defeating Legon Cities and Dreams FC in the semifinals, respectively.
Bofoakwa Tano took the lead in the 22nd minute when Richard Dzikoe expertly finished a cross from Saaka Dauda.
However, Nsoatreman FC equalized with just 11 minutes remaining in regular time, as Sadat Mohammed fired a stunning 25-meter shot to level the score and crush Bofoakwa Tano’s hopes.
The match remained tied through 120 minutes, leading to a penalty shootout. Nsoatreman FC displayed remarkable composure, ultimately winning 5-4.
Teenager Forster Apetorgbor sealed the victory by scoring the decisive penalty, securing the coveted trophy for his team.
