Four time African champions, the Black Stars of Ghana have been drawn with England, Croatia and Panama in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Group L after the final draw took place at the John F Kennedy Centre for Performing Arts in Washington, USA.

The Black Stars, seeded in Pot 4, became the final African nation to be revealed in the draw as they were placed in the final group L with 1966 champions England, 2018 finalists and 2022 third-placed team Croatia and then Central American side Panama.

The Black Stars, led by a delegation of top Ghana Football Association officials such as the President and CAF 2nd Vice President Kurt Okraku, Black Stars Management Committee Chairman Dr Randy Abbey, as well as head coach Otto Addo and former captain and record holder of  Africa's highest goal scorer at the World Cup, Asamoah Gyan, discovered their opponents on Friday evening with high hopes and optimism.

Among them was Israeli trainer, Avram Grant who led the Black Stars to the final of the 2015 African Cup of Nations (AFCON)

The Black Stars will discover their fixture dates and venues for the global showpiece on Saturday, December 8 as FIFA is set to roll out all details about fixtures and venues for each game in the tourney.
