Abu Dhabi: Pim Verbeek's Oman received a confidence booster after seeing off Southeast Asia powerhouses Thailand 2-0 in their final warm-up ahead of the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 on Wednesday.



Verbeek's men bounced back in style after their 5-0 defeat against holders Australia on Monday.



Oman opened their account after 25 minutes through Ahmed Mubarak as the Reds took a 1-0 lead at half-time before Mohsin Al Ghasani doubled their advantage in the 55th minute.

Oman, who are in Group F, kickstart their UAE 2019 campaign against Uzbekistan on January 9, while Milovan Rajevac's side face India in Group A January 6.
