The Oscars released the list of nominees on Tuesday, with “Black Panther” becoming the first comic book movie to be nominated for Best Picture, and Lady Gaga nominated for Best Actress.

Newly inducted Academy member Omotola Jalade–Ekeinde is glad most of the movies she nominated made the final list, but she’s not happy about one thing.

Writing on her Instagram, Omotola shared that she’s not very excited any African movie made the list.

It’s fine though, someday soon, she said, they’ll be doing it for Africans.
