Kevin-Prince Boateng will get another opportunity to impress Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde when they face Girona in the fourth edition of Catalan Super Cup on Wednesday.

After been left out of the last four matchday squads, the 32 year old attacker makes a return for tonight’s game at the Nova Creu Alta stadium in Sabadell.

According to reports, the Spanish tactician has lost faith in the on-loan Sassuolo forward  and has already decided against extending his stay at the Camp Nou beyond this summer.

However, in the absence of the first team regulars and without normal pressures attached to a typical Barça match, the Ghanaian international has the perfect chance to endear himself to the fans and show Valverde he can be useful to the team’s course.
