Black Stars forward Osman Bukari has shared his mixed feelings following his Major League Soccer debut with Austin FC.

Bukari, who made his first appearance for the Texas-based club in their 2-2 draw against Charlotte FC, expressed both excitement and disappointment.

The Ghanaian international started the match but was substituted after 57 minutes, with Jon Gallagher scoring late to salvage a draw for Austin FC.

The game began positively for Austin FC, with Alexander Ring opening the scoring in the 11th minute.

However, Karol Swiderski equalized for Charlotte FC before halftime. After the break, Iuri Tavares gave Charlotte the lead, but Gallagher’s late goal ensured the teams shared the points.

Bukari took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his sentiments: "Excited to have made my debut in front of the fans last night.

Not the results we wanted but we will keep fighting. Let’s go Verde!"

Joining Austin FC from Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade this summer, Bukari is expected to be a key player as the club pursues a playoff spot in the Western Conference.

His previous success in Serbia has set high expectations for his role in the team’s pursuit of success in the MLS.
