The Member of Parliament for Tamale North and a member of the Appointments Committee in Parliament, Alhassan Suhuyini has accused the Minister-designate of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Otiko Afisah Djaba of lying under oath at her vetting.

He confirmed that the minority was going to reject the nomination of the minister designate on the basis of several contentious issues and her posturing before the appointment committee.

Hon. Alhassan Suhuyini also accused the minister designate of lying under oath with regards to her inability to account for her time at the University of Development Studies.

She was asked at the committee if the reason she couldn't account for her time in the University was as a result of academic fraud or academic failure to which she denied and assured that she was working on it and was just a matter of time.

Hon. Suhuyini however claims he has new evidence that suggests that Mrs. Otiko Djaba was not candid with her responds to the question. He suggested she lied under oath and labeled her entire performance at the committee a disaster.
