Ghana coach Otto Addo has expressed confidence ahead of today’s international friendly against Austria at Vienna’s Ernst-Happel-Stadion, with kick-off set for 17:00 GMT.

‎Speaking to the media on Thursday, Addo acknowledged the challenge posed by Austria and their experienced coach, Ralf Rangnick, but stressed the importance of his team sticking to their tactical plan.

‎“We now have to execute the plan perfectly. Like I said, it will be an intense game. This is what we're looking forward to. They have a good team, but we will face them squarely,” the 50-year-old said.

‎Addo added that while Austria poses a significant test, the Black Stars must focus on the task at hand before looking ahead to their next friendly against Germany in Stuttgart on Monday, March 30.

“They have a good coach, a man who understands the game so well that we cannot take things lightly. We just have to get the job done here, and after the match, we will think about Germany,” he said.

‎Both matches form crucial tests for Ghana as they fine-tune their preparations ahead of the 2026 World Cup, scheduled this summer across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
