The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has overseen the installation of Nana Yaw Safor Baah III as the new Paramount Chief of the Worawora Traditional Council in the Biakoye District of the Oti Region, bringing an end to a ten-year leadership dispute in the area.
The installation ceremony, held under the directive of the Asantehene, was conducted by Nana Barima Okugyesuo Adunan II of Kuntase and supervised by Otumfuo’s personal linguist, Okyeame Bonsu.
The historic event attracted prominent traditional leaders from Kuntase, Kokofu, Tapa Amanya, Buem-Jasikan, Apesokubi, and Worawora, including Nana Kwaku Aborah III, Sanahene of the Worawora Traditional Council.
Addressing the gathering, Nana Okugyesuo Adunan emphasized that the prolonged leadership vacuum had stifled unity and progress in Worawora.
He charged the newly installed chief to prioritize reconciliation, peacebuilding, and development, noting that the time had come to heal divisions and focus on collective growth.
He urged Nana Yaw Safor Baah III to collaborate with all sections of the community — especially the youth, women, and local authorities — to champion projects that enhance education, healthcare, and infrastructure across the traditional area.
Representing the Manhyia Palace, Okyeame Bonsu called for total support from residents for their new leader, stressing that unity and cooperation remain the bedrock of lasting development.
Community members expressed renewed optimism that the installation of Nana Yaw Safor Baah III would usher in a new era of stability, peace, and progress for the Worawora Traditional Area.
