The Ministry of Education has announced that outstanding teacher allowances for November 2025 have been paid, following the resolution of a technical payroll challenge.

The update was contained in a statement dated December 17, 2025, and signed by the Deputy Minister for Education, Dr Clement Apaak. He confirmed that the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has successfully processed and disbursed the two categories of teacher allowances due for the period.

According to the statement, a technical issue during the final payroll run initially delayed the payments, but the challenge has since been resolved, allowing the allowances to be paid in full.

The Ministry apologised to teachers affected by the delay, acknowledging the inconvenience caused, and expressed gratitude for their patience and continued commitment to duty.

Dr Apaak reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to working closely with the CAGD and other stakeholders to strengthen payroll systems and prevent similar challenges in the future, stressing that teachers remain central to the delivery of quality education across the country.
