Support for the children left behind by the tragic 6 August 2025 helicopter crash in Ghana has received a significant boost, with donations exceeding GHS 10.1 million and US$20,000 as of 7 February 2026.
The Children Support Fund, established to safeguard the welfare and education of the victims’ children, has attracted contributions from government ministries, private organizations, and individual donors.
Notable supporters include the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of the Interior, and staff from the Office of the President.
The funds are earmarked to provide long-term assistance, covering educational needs and other welfare initiatives for the children affected by the tragedy.
Donations are ongoing, and members of the public can contribute through Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited or via mobile money platforms.
Fund coordinators expressed deep appreciation for the generosity shown so far and encouraged continued contributions to ensure the children receive the support they need to grow and thrive despite their loss.
