The overlord of the Manprugu Traditional Area in the Northern Region, Naa Bohagu Mahami Abdulai Sheriga, has blessed the campaign of the ruling NDC and hoped that their efforts to retain power would not be in vain.

He also acknowledged the difficulties several politicians go through during campaigns and remarked that he was pleased to see the Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur when he called on him at his palace to seek his blessings.

The Overlord of the Mamprugu Traditional area used the occasion to laud Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur for his humility. He also commended him for his advice to the youth of Ghana to stay peaceful before and after the December 7th election.

He described his campaign message especially his message of peace, as something worth emulating from a leader.

 


On his part, the Vice President thanked the overlord of the Manprugu Traditional Area for welcoming him and his team to his palace.

He said as they can witness, Present Mahama is a very peaceful man who represents a role model.

The Vice president Kwesi Amissah-Arthur said his mission in the area is to encourage people to vote for the NDC in the December 7th elections.

He further hinted that they were there to ask for his prayers to stay in his traditional area and to also introduce the NDC’s parliamentary candidate for the Nalerigu Gambaga Constituency to them.

He indicated that the main political opponent the New Patriotic Party (NPP), were telling several lies that must be corrected.
