The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has formally referred multiple petitions against its Deputy Director of Communications, Mr. Ernest Owusu Bempah, to the party’s National Council for further review and action.

In a statement released on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, and signed by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party expressed “grave concern” over Mr. Bempah’s conduct, which has prompted internal complaints from party members.

According to the statement, the NPP headquarters has received several petitions requesting Mr. Bempah’s removal from office.

However, due to the nature of his appointment, which was made upon the recommendation of the National Executive Committee and ratified by the National Council, the matter has been escalated to the Council for appropriate deliberation.

“The Party reaffirms its unwavering commitment to upholding discipline, safeguarding its values, and ensuring that all matters are handled with fairness and transparency,” the statement added.

The move signals the party’s intention to follow due process in addressing internal grievances while maintaining its institutional integrity.
