Ghana's seventh Parliament will reconvene  on Monday December 14th 2020, this is according to a release signed by the Director of Public Relations, Kate Addo.

Parliament went on recess in November to afford all the members of the house who were especially seeking re-election campaign adequately in their constituencies and also for the 7 December General Elections.

The seventh parliament is presently in its fourth session and when it reconvenes it will be the last time most of the members who lost their seats will be going into the august house.

According to a notice from Parliament, the Speaker is acting in accordance with order 6 of the Standing Orders of the House.

“All Honourable members and staff are to take note and attend the house timeously. Please note that all COVID-19 protocols will be observed at all Parliamentary sitting,” the statement noted.

As much as 111 members of the current parliament will not be a part of the eight parliament which will start next year either due to losing primaries, losing the General Elections or deciding to voluntarily quit parliament.
