Swedru based artiste, Patapaa, has announced that he is rebranding as an artiste with his latest exploitation in the music industry.

According to Patapaa, he wants to be referred to as 'Patapeezy' moving forward, adding that he will drag anyone who calls him Patapaa to court.

The leader of the 'Pa2pa Soldiers' is of the view that his new name, Patapeezy, which his mentor and godfather, Funny Face, has given him will sell his brand better than his former name, hence his decision to denounce the 'Patapaa' name.

Patapeezy made the announcement of his new name in a Facebook Live video Sunday evening.

He said he was dropping Patapaa to use the name Funny Face gave him.

“Funny Face gave me good hype and also gave me a new name, Patapeezy. I left the name Patapaa in South Africa. No one should call me Patapaa again. I’m not Patapaa. Call me Patapeezy; else I’ll take you to court. We have changed the name Patapaa, and now it is Patapeezy,” he said.

He also thanked Togolese footballer Emmanuel Adebayor for promising to provide Patapaa with suits and also to foot the bill for his music video.

He shot the video from Austria, where he is shooting a new music video through the sponsorship of football star and Togolese national, Emmanuel Adebayor.

Patapeezy explained Funny Face connected him to Adebayor.
