Following Kurt E.S Okraku's Ghana Football Association presidential win, messages of congratulations have been flooded in from all walks of life.

Kurt Okraku beat off stiff competition from former GFA vice president George Afriyie after a marathon election.

The Okyeman Planners president conceded defeat after the second round but Kurt had to win a popular acclamation vote where he won with an overwhelming 93 votes representing 96.9%.

After the first round of elections , Kurt Okraku won the GFA elections with 44 votes, followed by George Afriyie who amassed 40 votes.

Nana Yaw Amponsah managed to get 27 votes while Fred Pappoe only managed six votes before heading to a run off between Kurt Okraku, Nana Yaw Amponsah and George Afriyie because none had 50% + 1.

Former Ghana Football Association vice president Fred Pappoe who had six votes decided against going into the second round contest.

The other two contestants Amanda Clinton and George Ankomah had no votes.

Kurt Okraku won the second round of the Ghana FA presidential elections but could not win since he did not beat the 50 percent plus one vote once again.

Kurt Okraku polled 59 votes representing 49.6% George Afriyie 43 votes representing 36.1 % Nana Yaw Amponsah 15 representing 13.4% .
