Member of Parliament (MP) for the Atiwa East constituency in the Eastern Region, Mrs Abena Osei Asare on Sunday, December 20, 2020, held a thanksgiving service at the Anyinam Presbyterian Church following her re-election in the just-ended general elections.

The service was followed by a victory party with her supporters and members of the NPP at her residence in Anyinam.

Mrs Abena Osei Asare, who doubles as the Deputy Minister for Finance used the opportunity to thank God for the resounding victory given and the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The Anyinam District Presbyterian Pastor, Rev. Obeng Kwafo in his sermon under the theme: “Equipping The Stains For The Work Of Christ” said Christians should embrace peace and love one another as Christ did.

In her remarks, Abena Osei Asare thanked the almighty God for blessing the country with peace before, during and after the elections.

She used the occasion to extend her warmest appreciation to the constituents for their support over the years and urged them to continue praying for her team and the President for divine leadership.

The Akyem Abuakwa Presbytery Chairman, Rev. James Charles Antwi presented an award to the MP for the exemplary lifestyle she has lived in bringing glory and honour to the Presbyterian Church as a whole.

She was accompanied by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Nkansah Panin,. the constituency executives of the NPP and other leading members of the party.
