Vice President Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia and some other high profile personalities from the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) trooped in to the Nima residence to solidarize with the family of the late Managing Editor of the Al-Hajj Newspaper, Alhaji Bature Iddrisu.

Several  Ministers of State were in  attendance to commiserate with the bereaved family.

Members of the opposition NDC such as brother of the Former President, Ibrahim Mahama, MP for Tamale North, Alhassan Suhuyini, Joseph Ade Coker, Samuel Ablakwa, Mustapha Ahmed, Joshua Alabi were heavily represented.

The rest were Former NHIS boss, Sylvester Mensah, Harry Zakour, Lawyer Victor Adawudu.

The influential political commentator passed on Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital following a short illness.

The mortal remains of the late popular Journalist is laid to rest today, Saturday 6th January at the Nima Cemetery in Accra.
