Former President and flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress,John Dramani Mahama on Sunday went for to church at the Ringway Assemblies of God Church in Accra.

This was to thank God for helping him sail through the elections peacefully although he failed to win the coveted Presidential seat.

He was accompanied by his running mate Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang and some party sympathizers.

John Mahama came second in a contest with 47.36 percent with incmubent President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo winning with a total of 6,70,413 votes representing 51.59 percent.

A post on the Facebook wall of the NDC Presidential candidate read:

"Together with Naana Jane and our families, we joined the Ringway Assemblies of God Church for fellowship earlier today."

"He that handles a matter wisely shall find good: and whoever trusts in the LORD, happy is he. Proverbs 16:20."

The former President says he would not accept the election results as declared by the Electoral Commission as they are flawed and fictitious.
