The Ho Airport is expected to be handed over by contractors of the facility to government for onward commissioning after all major construction works on the facility has been completed.

The contractors of the facility, Amandi Holdings, made it known to the Minister for Aviation, Madam Cecilia Dapaah, who paid a working visit to inspect the facility on Thursday in the company of the Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Letsa.

The project was first started under the Mahama administration when Former President John Dramani Mahama broke grounds for the project in 2015.

The 1,500 acre land secured at Ho- Tritrinu for the construction of the aerodrome is to aid aircraft activities in the region.

Although scheduled to be completed in 2016, the project suffered a little delay after the change of government in 2017.
