Some angry residents of Bawku in the Upper East Region have displayed their displeasure in a roadside protest as the President's convoy touched down in the town.
The President is on a tour of the Upper East Region but was met with residents of the town displaying placards about their poor roads.
Holding placards reflecting the state of hardship, worsening living conditions, abandoned road projects, lack of development and unfulfilled promises by his government, the demonstrators accused the President of neglect and betrayal of the good people of the region.
The youth were particularly incensed by the stoppage of work on the Bolga-Bawku-Pulimakom road.
The bad nature of the road affects as many as seven (7) districts in the region.
