Real Tamale United came from behind to beat Berekum Arsenal 3-2 in the on-going Division One League Super Cup at the Madina Astro Turf.

The Tamale giants who have staged a comeback into Ghana’s elite League were down 2-1 at half time but Abdul Fatawu Sayibu and Roland Frimpong made amends in the second half to give them a well-deserved win.

Berekum Arsenal shot into the lead in the fifth minute through Mohammed Yakubu but Amos Yeboah pulled parity for Real Tamale United six minutes later after connecting beautifully from midfield. Arsenal scored the second goal five minutes from the break as a well knitted team effort saw Ebenezer Aboagye increase the tally for the Gunners with five minutes left to end the first half.

Back from recess, Real Tamale United lifted up their game and scored two top class goals to outsmart their opponents.

The win takes RTU to the top of the Group B table with three points. In the earlier game, Accra Lions also came from behind to beat Samartex 1996 2-1.

Emmanuel Adu gave Samartex the lead in the second minute of the game but Christopher Acheampong and Evans Eenee scored for Accra Lions to give them the three points.
