Ghana's main airport Kotoka International Airport was on Wednesday 29th December,2021 hit by a bomb scare as the arrival hall of terminal 3 was evacuated.

This follows the detection of a black bag which had substances believed to be explosives and IED's at about 9pm.

Officials of the facility immediately evacuated the whole place and prevented passengers arriving into the country entering the place as experts from the Ghana Armed forces were called in.

Bomb detonating experts were called into the facility to ascertain whether there were explosives in the said bag.

This caused a lot of scare and pandemonium among passengers, staff of the Kotoka International Airport but calm has been restored as normal service has resumed.
