The Chairman of the Premier League Board Ashford Tetteh Oku has described this year’s league as the most exciting despite having no headline sponsors.

The 2015/16 Ghana Premier League zoomed off earlier this year without a headline sponsor following the decision of First Capital Plus Bank to pull out.

But the PLB Boss says regardless of the absence of a headline sponsor, the excitement and competition in the league does not even show they lack a headline sponsor.

“Despite not having a headline sponsor, I more than agree that we are having one of the most exciting seasons so far,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com

“And that is one of the greatest lessons we have to learn from unity and commitment to a purpose. If we all agree that we have a product, what do we do to enhance its value?

He argued that the various seminars organized by the FA for stakeholders ahead of the start of the league has played a tremendous role in raising the bar.

“At the beginning of the season, the FA organized seminars for the stakeholders; coaches, administrators and the media, and we are seeing the effect on the league,” he added.
