The Ghana Police Service has arrested Daniel Odai Afotey in connection with a house break-in that occurred on March 4, 2026, at Spintex.

According to police, the operation led to the recovery of stolen cash and several valuables believed to have been taken during the incident. The recovered items include GH¢1,000 and USD 22,350 in cash, as well as gold watches, jewellery, mobile phones and a television set.

Investigators say the suspect admitted his involvement in the burglary during questioning and mentioned an accomplice identified only as “Ewonam,” who is currently on the run.

Police have therefore appealed to members of the public who may have lost property in Spintex, Teshie, Nungua, and surrounding communities to contact the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Headquarters to assist with ongoing investigations and possible identification of the recovered items.

The suspect is expected to appear before court on March 16, 2026, while police continue efforts to locate and arrest the accomplice still at large.
