Police officials in the Brong Ahafo region are hot on the heels of six Fulani armed robbers who attacked and robbed passengers at gunpoint.

The incident occurred on Thursday, December 13, 2018, and the passengers lost valuable items including monies and mobile phones.

The suspects, holding single-barrel shotguns and machetes, attacked and robbed four passengers on board a taxi cab with registration number BA 211-N at Mframaso, near Wenchi.

The passengers, including a community protection agent officer, Osman Ahmed, and driver of Opel Taxi cab, Yaw Christopher, reported to the Wenchi Divisional Police that they were attacked and robbed by suspects believed to be of Fulani extraction, when they were returning from Sunyani to Wenchi in the night. Fortunately, they were no casualties.

A patrol team was immediately dispatched to the area but could not trace their whereabouts, as they fled as soon as they were done.

Police in the region have therefore appealed to residents, especially residents of the area, to volunteer information to the police for the arrest of the miscreants.
