Popular rapper and artist Cardi B, who won the award for the Best Rap Album for the year was in the news about her outfit, which saw a lot of memes floating around on the internet. But, it was her award win which sent people into a tizzy, as a lot of people questioned if she really deserved to win the award. There was also flak from fellow singer Ariana Grande, who went on a rant on social media when Cardi B went onstage to win the award.

Cardi B, who has been met with her fair share of criticism and trolling in the past did not like the way people reacted to her win. A lot of people, as well as critics, passed comments adding that she did not deserve to win a big honour like that. Trollers jumped on the bandwagon soon enough.
In a now-deleted video, Cardi was seen speaking to the camera that she did not deserve such harsh criticism and it is not her style to put people down. The video went viral on a few fan pages as well. Sometime after, the rapper deleted her Instagram account.
“That’s not my style and that’s not what I’m with,” Cardi said, adding, “I don’t support that.”
She added in the video that she wanted some time for reflection and did not plan back to come back for a while.
Talking angrily, Cardi said that she has seen a lot of harsh judgement her way and said that people don't know the hours of hard work she put in for that album.
“I remember last year when I didn’t win for ‘Bodak Yellow’ and everybody was like, ‘Cardi got snubbed,'” she recalled. “Now this year’s a problem?! My album went two-time platinum and every chart that there was, my album was always Top 10. Number one album, as well," she added.

Cardi further added that she worked really hard on her album despite being 7 months pregnant and was very deserving of the win. She said that she kept her health problems aside to focus on producing the best album possible. Cardi said that she suffered from migraines, bad viral infections yet kept working non-stop. It was very tough for her mentally but she kept going on.

“I locked myself in the studio for three months. Didn’t go to sleep in my bed sometimes for four days straight — pregnant!” she explained. “While everybody was harassing me like, ‘You’re not gonna do it, we know you pregnant, your career’s over…'”
