Ghanaian first division side Port City FC have confirmed the signing of former Accra Hearts of Oak and Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Attah during the 2024/25 season's second transfer window.
The club made the announcement on their official Facebook page: "SIGNED. We are glad to announce the signing of former Accra Hearts of Oak and Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Attah to the Adonten family. He is coming in with a lot of experience into our goalkeeping department. Welcome, Richard."
Attah, 29, joined Hearts of Oak in 2019 after impressing at Elmina Sharks.
He quickly became the club's first-choice goalkeeper and played a key role in their successful 2020/21 season, helping them win the Ghana Premier League title and achieve a domestic treble.
Although Attah started the 2023/24 season as the first-choice goalkeeper for Hearts, he lost his spot on several occasions and only made 13 league appearances.
After departing Hearts of Oak earlier this year, Attah is now set to return to competitive action with Port City FC.
He is expected to be available for Port City's matchday 11 fixture against Okwawu United this weekend in the third zone of the division.
Attah was also part of the Black Stars' final squad at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
