President Akufo-Addo has delivered his final Christmas message to Ghanaians as his tenure as President nears its conclusion.

In a heartfelt televised address on Tuesday, December 24, the outgoing President extended warm holiday wishes and reflected on themes of gratitude, unity, and hope for the nation’s future.

“As we gather around our tables to share meals, let us think of those who make our celebrations possible—the security personnel standing guard so we may celebrate in safety, the health workers caring for the sick, the farmers, and fisherfolk whose labor feeds our families,” he said.

President Akufo-Addo urged Ghanaians to remember the less fortunate, expressing hope that their prayers and actions would bring comfort and renewal to those in need.

Reflecting on his presidency, he spoke of Ghana’s immense potential: “Having come to the end of my lawful tenure as President and preparing to step into the next chapter of my life, I leave you with this thought: Ghana is a nation destined for greatness. Let us protect her peace, cherish her unity, and nurture her promise.”

He emphasized the importance of hope and love as vital drivers of progress and urged citizens to work together to achieve extraordinary goals.

“May this Christmas season fill our hearts with joy, our homes with laughter, and our lives with blessings. May the coming year bring us closer to the Ghana of our dreams, and may God continue to bless our nation and its people abundantly,” he concluded.

“Merry Christmas, my fellow Ghanaians.”
