The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, is expected to leave for South Africa today, Wednesday July 4, 2017 for a 2-day official state visit to South Africa.

This comes after President Akufo-Addo received an invitation from the South African President, His Excellency Cyril Ramaphosa.

President Akufo-Addo will hold bilateral talks with President Cyril Ramaphosa, aimed at deepening the ties between the two countries, as well as exploring other areas of assistance to the mutual benefit of the two countries.

Whilst in South Africa, the President will visit a cross section of the Ghanaian community there .

The President is expected back on Friday 6th June 2018.
