President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will be meeting the Ghanaian media on Wednesday, 19 December 2018 at the seat of government, Jubilee House for the second time this year.

A statement from the government Tuesday explained the engagement, dubbed Meet-the-Press, is in furtherance of the president’s desire to continuously engage with the Ghanaian people through the media.

The event which will take place at 10:30am at the Jubilee House in Accra will also see President Nana Akufo-Addo respond to a wide range of questions on recent development from the media.

A statement signed by Deputy Minister of Information, Pious Enam Hadzide, on Tuesday, 18 December 2018, said: “In furtherance of His Excellency the President’s desire to continually engage with the Ghanaian people through the media, the President will on Wednesday,19 December 2018 meet with a cross section of the media at 10:30 am at the Banquet Hall, Jubilee House, Accra.

“This would be the second engagement in 2018.”

The statement added: “The Ghana Journalists Association, the umbrella body of journalists in Ghana, is working with the Ministry of Information and the Communication Directorate at the Jubilee House to coordinate media invitations.

“The president is expected to speak to some key national issues and interact with the media afterwards.”
